The DC connector kit allows for combining multiple PV strings at the array, and using a single pair of conductors to connect back to the inverter. This is helpful when using a combiner box at the array; having fewer conductors can lower installation costs. Combining strings should only be done with strings of even numbers of modules and the MPPT settings of the inverter should be adjusted. The DC connector kit can accommodate wires from 10 - 2 AWG and the copper “comb style” bus bar is encased in plastic to reduce safety concerns in the connection area. The DC connector kit is particularly suitable for use with the Fronius Symo 10.0 - 24.0 kW and Fronius Primo 10.0 - 15.0 kW inverters.
