What is a core charge?

When you purchase a new battery, a core charge is added to your invoice to encourage you to recycle your battery at the end of its lifespan.
2.
A bit like returnable bottles, you can claim this core charge back if you return your battery to us once you’ve finished with it.
There are 2 ways to claim back your core charge:
1. We can deduct it from the price of a new battery
2. Return your old battery to the same store you purchased it from with a proof of purchase. If you’ve lost your receipt, no worries, we’ll offer you a rate according to the weight of your old battery.
